Blair Michelle Da Costa
FACE CLAIM: Chelsea Gilligan
♦ THE BASICS ♦AGE: 21
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Pansexual
POSITION: College Student - Studying politics♦ THE CHARACTER ♦HEIGHT: 5'8"
HAIR COLOR: Brown
EYE COLOR: Brown
MISC: Blair carries herself with a sense of pride and elegance, as if above people, though that is not her intention. She also dresses in a very lady-like fashion, which also goes for makeup and the like.
PERSONALITY: The first thing you notice about Blair is her ability for crowd control. She has more charisma than what she knows what to do with. She has a way of moving and talking that seems to suck up the attention in the room, without being shallow. Another word to describe Blair is that she's graceful. She's elegant and everything an upper class lady should be - without the drama, of course. Blair is proper and well-educated. She is smart and never starts a fight she knows she won't win. She is confident, because she knows she has every reason to be, but that does in no way make her overly so. Although in some cases she might come across as cocky or smug, but that's simply because 1. she knows something you don't, or 2. she knows she has you by the balls.
Despite her confidence, Blair does (usually) play fair. She doesn't believe in dirty tricks and schemes unless she deems it necessarily. She's the kind of person who would rather "win over the people" through honesty and the ability to speak up for yourself, than luring them into a false sense of safety. She's considers herself to be honorable, although her vision is often clouded by her aspiration.
Blair is the kind of woman that some might refer to as a modern feminazi - not because she believes women to be superior, but because she believes in the strength of a character - the very same strength that her entire persona emits. She appreciates the value and opportunities different people have, along with surrounding herself with people whom she believes she has something to gain from.
Blair has a voice, a voice she uses to share her opinions - which she has many of. Despite having taken up the role of a "queen bee", she doesn't use this in the traditional, cliché sense of the word. Blair is both kind and emphatic, though she also knows that often, that is something she reserves the right to judge case by case basis. She has a goal and she will stop at nothing to get where she wants - or get what she wants.
Blair has a motto (which, ironically is very cliché): Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
She has the ability to look at the bigger picture, rather than what is right in front of her, so Blair often gets lost in her own head. This often means that she focuses more on the goal rather than the road ahead, but she's determined, stubborn and knows that she's set for success - no matter the cost.
SECRET(S): She has a very childish dream, and fears it being a little too high aspiring; she wants to join the White House in America.♦ THE HISTORY ♦FATHER: Ignazio Da Costa (Politician)
MOTHER: Rosalia Da Costa (Edenbourg council member)
SIBLINGS: Alexandra Da Costa
WORTHY MENTIONS: N/A
CHILDHOOD: Growing up in Italy, in an Italian household from the upper class, Blair had everything she could ever wish for. This, naturally, came with a lot of expectations. Blair was the first born, which meant having to carry most of the weight. Luckily, Blair shared a lot of both her parents ideals and quickly took on the role of the doting daughter, unlike her sister, the black sheep of the family. Like her father before her, Blair quickly grew an interest in politics, and already at the stage of a child, Blair knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life.
Then came elementary school and Blair absolutely thrived. She became popular and it quickly became apparent that she shared her father's charisma trait. Her entire childhood was built on one purpose: She was going to attend Edenbourg, graduate with top grades and continue on to college where she would take her politics mayor. Her entire future was laid bare and Blair couldn't wait to get there.
ADOLESCENCE: The year she turned thirteen, Blair was shipped off to Greece to attend Edenbourg. She was already somewhat familiar with the school, given the fact that her mother was a council member - which naturally gave her quite the reputation and status. This only helped Blair growing into the woman she is today. It helped her create a community around herself, containing allies and enemies.
Along with school, Blair grew an appetite for horse riding and gymnastics, which greatly helped her becoming fitter and more graceful. Then her sister, the prodigy and black sheep of the family joined Edenbourg - despite sharing the same blood as her baby sister, Blair spends very little time acknowledging her.
Because of her committed focus on schoolwork and her grades, Blair became valedictorian two years in a row.
ADULTHOOD: Then graduation came and a new school life began; College. Blair already knew what her mayor would be and she finally embarked on the first steps towards her new life: Politics. Naturally, with her father being a politician, Blair already had a foot inside the politics community. She had a lot of experience and references which helped her studies and she quickly, once again, rose to become one of the top of her class.
She grew a lot as a woman and as a person, quickly becoming one of the most well-known figures around Eden. At least, in the right community.
Blair still has a lot to learn about the world around her, but thankfully, her appetite is still present. She has a long road yet to climb, but if anyone can do it, it's Blair.♦ THE PLAYER ♦USERNAME: Mel.
