PERSONALITY:
Rough. Rough like bark. Rough like stone. Rough like criticism. It’s a protective shell. Hiding away its contents. Ruth’s shell is well developed. It’s had years to form. It what people first see. Their first experience. She is not gentle. Only as polite as she has to be. She will scratch those who try to get close. It is something everyone who meets her experiences.Silver. Silver like the moon. Silver like a soul. Silver like a flash. Not wholly white. Closer to grey, but not quite. There is something that distinguishes it. A certain spark. Often Ruth sees the treys, but the silver always overcomes. Like a knife cutting through. It slices right through over colors. Absorbs them into itself, leaving the silver once again.
Spicy. Spicy like peppers. Spicy like surprise. Spicy enough to burn. Leaving tongues scathed. It’s a taste liked only by some. Something that needs experience to love. Even then, there’s a tang. Something that sets it apart ever so subtly.

CHILDHOOD:
Ruth wasn’t born. She was bred. Fourth of six children. To a family rich in the hunting industry. Making almost all the equipment hunters used. It was easy to forget her. To glance over one more child. Only family could distinguish. Family was all she cared about. it was all that cared about her. To the rest of the world, she was just another. A mason. Another in line. Someone to take over when the parents were gone. The world dismissed her. So Ruth dismissed the world.Instead she carved her own. Not so much as made her self unique as let herself be unique. She already was. Her own individual. Her own person. Those who met her knew. Ruth had a personality. Maybe not the best. Not the kindest. Not the sweetest. Not the gentlest. But it was fierce. Stuck out from her siblings. Gave her a face in the crowd. She didn’t even care. She did as she pleased.
ADOLESCENCE:
Years passed. People came. People went. Ruth stayed mostly the same, but gained experience. She experienced joy. She felt rage. Found confusion. Knew grief. All from her own choice. She didn’t want to be coddled. The money of her family wasn’t important to her. It was important for her to live. To experience the world, and in turn let the world experience her. There was little she balked from, and little that she stepped down from. She was a doer. She wasn’t about to let things pass her by.Yet it was peace she pursued. A calm in the storm. Despite her love of a challenge, she wanted calm. There was too much going on for her family. To many obligations that didn’t concern her. She had to keep up appearances. “For the family” she was told. She loved her family. She did. But there was a limit to her patience. Finally her parents came up with a solution. They sent her away to school. While she’d miss them, she wouldn’t miss everything that came with her family.
ADULTHOOD:
More years passed. Ruth was content. She wasn’t interested in being the most popular. Wasn’t interested in coming out on top. She was only interested in whatever she wanted to do. As she always had. She still burned bright. Her personality wouldn’t allow her any less. But she didn’t care. She sought her sort of excitement. Her sort of fun. She didn’t need others to tell her what that was.School posed no problem for her. She moved through it like a hot knife through butter. She was efficient and studious. Her natural smarts helped her through much of it. Academically she wasn’t truly concerned. Socially she was the same. She made friends. She made enemies. Whether people liked her or not was up to them. She didn’t change who she was to appease other people. Ruth wouldn’t waste her energy for something like that.♦ THE PLAYER ♦USERNAME: Rick
