Alexis found herself perched on a bench, quietly reading through her phone messages, cross legged. It was a typical sunny day and as such she was out in shorts and a sleeveless top, with a sunhat gently perched on her head, sunglasses donned to shield herself from the bright sky.
She'd planned to meet a friend here today, but said friend was now responding saying they were two busy to hang out. She frowned at her phone. She wasn't particularly annoyed the friend couldn't make it, she rarely was annoyed by other people. But it was just such a beautiful day out. She didn't know what to do with herself now, she had a book in her bag, sure. But that wasn't really the ideal thing on a day like this. Socialising was.
She bit her lip in frustration, trying to think of something she could do to pass the time, doing her best to ignore the urges she got occasionally to glance at particularly pretty specimen that would occasionally pass her by. If she'd thought about it before hand she could have gotten a swimsuit out and gone to a pool or something.
She glanced around the park, which was surprisingly quiet given how nice a day it was. There were still people around, children with parents buying ice cream, couples wandering around and no doubt getting up to far more social events than the very bored blonde sitting cross legged on the bench was.

She sat still, green eyes piercing the various people walking past her. They kept distrupting her view. They kept changing the world around her and as such, the blonde's work was ruined. With a heavy sigh, she put the penicl down and glanced around. A small wrinkle to her nose, then she cast the negative feelings away. There was no point in blaming the ignorant; they didn't know. How could they?
She stood then, her drawing book pressed firmly to her chest, as if she was afraid of losing it. Then again, that was exactly what she was; it was her most precious belonging. Until it filled and she had to replace it with her next most precious belonging.
She saw the girl then, sitting on a bench, people watching. There was something in her eyes that Calliope couldn't quite shake. A feeling of being lost, perhaps. Maybe she saw a little bit of herself in it - perhaps that was why she noticed that out of all things.
"Hey," she said as she stepped forward, standing in front of the girl and casting a shade over her gentle form. "Stand still." It wasn't an order. And then she pulled up her book and started moving the pencil over the white canvas. "Try not to move."

Alexis gave off a little yawn, still slightly unsure of what she should be doing with herself, the day was wasting away, and there wasn't really anybody she knew around here so she couldn't exactly just drop in on a random friend and drag them into socialising. Which left her with a few options. She could either go home, read a book, or find a random new person to harass.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a beauty approaching out of the corner of her eye. She glanced up at the other girl as she drew closer. The other blonde was absolutely drop dead gorgeous, in a very natural, alluring kind of way. She quickly recovered from the slight daze the pretty person had put her brain in, only being momentarily off balance. "Hi there!" She titled her head at the other girl as the request came though and she drew art supplies.
Art was one of the things Alexis studied, she wasn't particularly talented in much of it safe for sculpting, she mostly just found the different styles of painting and drawing to be interesting. That and it was a small way of rebelling against her family as a lost of them considered art to be a thing for the less well off to dabble with. Which was a weird sentiment all things considered.
She smiled slightly, doing her best not to fidget while being scrutinised by a woman she considered to be much more attractive than herself. "I'm not the best at being still, but I'll give it a shot." She smirked lightly.

"Try not to think too much on it," Calliope suggested lightly. She didn't want the girl to pose. Sure, she wanted her to stay still, but the two weren't nearly the same. It had been better if the girl hadn't focused on her at all, but Even Calliope knew that was too much to ask. Of course she'd draw the girl's attention considering that she was a stranger suddenly ordering the girl to sit still so that she could draw her.
Turning her attention back towards her paper, she ran the pencil over it and starting with the contours of the blonde's face. She then moved on to quickly sketch her facial features. She looked up briefly, then started on the eyes, then the nose and then the lips. It was easier when you had a simple sketch to go from, rather than doing one thing detailed after the other.
"The less you focus on me, the more natural your posture will seem," she continued, arching an eyebrow at the other blonde; she was staring. It was to be expected, of course, but it didn't make for the best drawing material. She didn't like those kind of portraits. She supposed, though, that with her mindset, Calliope should have become a photographer instead.

Alexis was both intrigued by the other girl, and mildly uncomfortable at being scrutinised so hard. She found herself constantly having small flashes of thoughts about things like if her face was alright, if she had put on the right amount of make-up today. Stuff she normally wouldn't worry about during the day what so ever, but for some reason she was slightly paranoid about it around this person.
She was also curious how the drawing was going, resisting the urge to lean over and take a glance at the page she smiled awkwardly. Remaining as still as she could, not wanting to ruin the stunning blonde's drawing.
While the blonde did her best to keep a lid on her... tendencies when it came to being around certain people, when the other woman noticed her staring and asked her to focus somewhere else she cleared her throat, a light blush forming on her cheeks as she turned her gaze slightly to look over at the birds gathering on the other side of the park, near the direction of the sun.
She tried to think about things, things other than "Sorry about that." She responded while thoughts of partying later that night bounced around her head. She gently fiddled with her fingers in her lap.
