PERSONALITY: I’m sure there would be nicer ways of putting this but to be blunt: Jack is...different. His brain simply doesn’t work the same way that everyone seems to, almost like he suffered a fundamental glitch when he was born. He’s less of a person and more like a large fluffy labrador bonding towards people and slobbering over him. Jack is like an abstract painting that people deride all sorts of different meanings from hoping to pin it down but never quite getting the full picture. To some he’s a asshole with a big mouth, to others -Most likely ninety percent of the school- He’s a lunatic, a reputation he’s more than earned from his bizarre behaviour. Impulsive actions and the fact that he’s fluent in nonsense.Jack quite possibly the most insecure person you’ll ever likely to meet, with a terrible self esteem, he craves catharsis in the form of approval from others, it’s like some kind of drug to him and he’s a junkie for it. Which breeds a special form of paranoia deep within him. But despite this he oddly has a strange stream of optimism that no badly he might mess up things up he has blind faith that things will utterly resolves itself. Thanks to this attitude Jack lives with somewhat ease…..until the paranoia strikes again
Jack is a class A attention seeker needing to show off at every possible opportunity which usually involves childishly habit of verbally abusing everyone around him - even people that he cares for. Jack is infamous for mouth and the fact that he never seems to shut up…ever! The topics he likes to discuss usually can switch instantaneously from charming to outright sleaze….but it’s like he’s not even aware that the things he’s saying is not things to say in company.
Jack is outspoken, rude, mischievous and morally flexible, self-absorbed, selfish, impulsive and incapable of taking anything short of a direct attempt on his life seriously.
However once you get past the irritating exterior at his core Jack is a genuinely likeable person. His abrasive attitude is really a device he uses disguise his real feelings as a way to dance around his own insecurities. Jack is very cheerful, charismatic and enthusiastic, often at inappropriate times, even when in trouble He is resourceful and quick thinking and has the ability to spin things to his point of view and find positive outlooks in negative situations.

CHILDHOOD: Jack has had a …...troubling childhood, the result of a one night drunken fling between a typical promiscuous playboy and his latest target, it’s fair to say that Jack wasn’t brought into a good environment raised in the slums of Dublin in a three room apartment. It’s fair to say that Mr. Mccarthy wasn’t going to make any runs for father of the year any time soon, more than likely to neglect him or just use him as a verbal punching bag whenever he could, Eventually social services got involved after alarms was raised when he wasn’t enrolled in any schools and whisked him off to a children’s home
Anyone with eyes in their head could see while the other kids were rowdy and loud like any preteen was but Jack? Jack was...different. It was easy to identify him, he was the pale boy sitting on the edge of playground with a pinched look on his face staring at his feet….IF you actually took the time to approve him, you would barely get a word out of him, just a few stuttered phrases before lapsing into silence
Needless to say that Jack got bullied a lot during that time..and as a result he put up this wall that forced him to defend himself and put up that “Wall” he spent years trying to enforce and keep him at an emotional distance from everyone else..
ADOLESCENCE:.Eventually Jack’s luck seemed to pick up after a couple of years in the statehouse when a rich couple from america seemed to have pity on him and adopted him posthaste. The bad news however. Once they brought Jack to the states. It’s fair to say they vastly disapproved of Jack’s...uniqueness so after a few months they shipped him off to Eden hoping that he’d come back more refined.
So far it hasn’t really worked out….In a sea of some of the brightest and elitist students you’ll ever find. Jack sticks out like a sore thumb and has earned the reputation as the college joke, shunned and kept out of every society, clique and group possible.
