Her phone buzzed. Ruth looked up in surprise. She was in the library. The noise got some attention. She didn't care. She picked up the phone anyways. It was Charlie. In class. Bored. A smile came onto her face. Her friend was bad at paying attention sometimes.

Charlie read the next text and scrunched her face up. Her? Being overdramatic? Well, maybe a little in this case. But she definitely was not all about the drama.
I am so not! You stay in here for five minutes and see how YOU like it little miss perfect!
And a trumpet would sure as hell be funnier than this!
Maybe it's his job but he's being boring as hell about it
Ruth stared at the first text. Little miss perfect. She nearly laughed. A hand snapped to her mouth, but a sound got out. Some heads turned her way. Ruth ducked her head slightly.Yet mainly she ignored it.
Little miss perfect? Since when did I get THAT title?
Charlie you've got to learn things if you're ever going to pass this class!
What do you expect, dancing girls? Class can be boring!

Since you started preaching the importance of class to me!
You're my friend, you're suppose to encourage my goofing off and save me from this
The last text managed to make Charlie blush ever so slightly. Ruth probably didn't realize the appeal of that sort of situation. Thank god they were texting.
Not THIS boring! I've got no desire to learn anything here
She squeaked. Someone whipped their head around. Even she was getting a little embarrassed. Ruth turned away from them. her face was getting red from her withheld laughter.
Well boohoo. Cry me a river and we'll go kayaking
What are you? A wannabe villain or something? Or is this one of those rebellious phases everyone has to go through
How the hell is a course description deceiving? Is he not teaching what he put down?
did you really just use the word perf? Omg the world must be ending

A wannabe villain? Charlie Let out a laugh. And immediately blushed. She completely forgot she was still in the classroom. Luckily the only one who noticed was the guy sitting next to her. Charlie pushed her chair back and avoided looking at him.
That would be a hell of a lot better, cept I don't cry
I am not a wannabe villain! And you're going to get me in trouble in class! I just lol'd
He's not teaching it with enough gusto
Well that would be better than sitting through THIS hellish eternity

Charlie covered her laugh with a cough. It wasn't really working. Finally she got up and left the classroom. it wasn't like she was listening anyways. She headed for the bathroom instead, grinning and glaring at her phone.
DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME A DISNEY PRINCESS
Good! I hope they kick you out for making me leave the room!
She shut her book. She couldn't study. Not now. And she didn't want to get kicked out. She didn't want to give her the satisfaction. Ruth left the library and hung around the entrance.

So they'd both left their rooms? Charlie laughed. And this time she could without someone staring at her. Although a few glanced her way. She ignored them.
RUTH I SWEAR TO GOD
I hope someone steals all your shit. Like that glaring guy
Well then he has good taste in words! Unlike SOMEONE I know!
